Sledding Spots


Spooner Summit

Spooner Summit is a sledding and tubing hill located next to the junction of Highways 50 and 28 along Lake Tahoe's eastern side. From the shop, travel East bound on highway 50 until you reach the junction for highway 28. The hill is located on your left hand side. The grade varies from steep slopes near the top to mild slopes at the bottom, making it a great location for all sledding abilities. 

Echo Lake Sno Park

Wide open area with beautiful scenery. Great place for sledding, snowshoeing, and playing in the snow. From the shop, head West on highway 50 until you reach the Y, go left towards Sacramento. Map attached for further reference.

Kahle Park

This is a great spot to sled, wide open areas and public parking nearby. Driving from the shop, head East on highway 50, Kahle Park will be about 2 miles down on your right just after you pass Lakeside Casino. 

Highway 89-towards Camp Richardson's

There are many places to park and sled out highway 89 towards Camp Richardson. From the shop, head West on highway 50, at the Y go right towards highway 89. Go about 3 miles out, you will pass Camp Richardson Resort, and see sno park on your left, Taylor Creek on your right, and many other places to park and sled. 

Sawmill Pond

Great sledding spot for families with small children. Gradual hill that is perfect for toddlers and small kids who may have never been sledding before. Driving from the shop, head west on highway 50 towards the Y, go straight through the light at the Y until you’ll hit Sawmill Pond on your left hand side.  

Paid Resorts

If you want to keep it easy and price isn't a worry....Hansens Resort is located up Ski Run Blvd,  Adventure Mountain is located at the top of Echo Summit, Blizzard Mountain is located at Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Heavenly offers a groomed tubing hill at the top of the gondola. There is also a groomed sledding hill with tube rentals located directly across from Montblue Resort.
