The Village Snowboard Team

Veda seems more comfortable on a snowboard than her own two feet. With a family rooted in the scene, Veda, was introduced to snowboarding at just 3 years old! When she was 6, she began riding freestyle, and competing in local slope-style, rail-jams, and half pipe competitions. 

Even though she started in South Lake Tahoe her talent, and hunger for the sport has taken her all over the world. Veda has a strong list of sponsors including; Capita Snowboards, Union Bindings, Crab Grab, Coal, and of course, The Village Board Shop!

Veda has put in the work time and time again, not to mention her dedication to becoming the best female rider is inspiring. Veda had an incredible season, and just competed in New Zealand!

Sawyer is one of the newer riders to the Village team but certainly not new to the sport, He is one rad ripper who lives in the back country. Baggin peaks at 8 years old? No wonder Jones snowboards sponsors this guy! He's got big plans this season and we are stoked to support and see what he accomplishes.

When not in the back country Sawyer likes to surf and hang out with his family and older sister Simone!  

As a young competitor Serina has fought for a podium position every time she straps in. In 2018 she got 1st at nationals for USASA competing in GS, and slope style, and in 2020 she placed 2nd at nationals for boarder cross and the momentum has not slowed down as she has continued to keep riding hard and finishing in the top 3 at almost every competition she is apart of.

 Sierra at Tahoe is where you can find Serina shredding most days, but she also loves to travel and check out other mountains as well!  

Serina is not only sponsored by The Village Board Shop but also, Roxy, Donek snowboards, BC Goggle Co, and Local company, Mountains Calling.

When she's not on the mountain or training for comps Serina enjoys gymnastics and horse back riding!

Zaria is a 11 year old mountain kid through and through! When she is not dominating on the snow she is still outside dominating soccer fields, and club sports! Anything extreme and Zaria is there! She also loves to ride her mountain bike, paddle board, surf, you name in it, she is doing it! 

Taking inspiration from some of the best names in snowboarding, such as, Zeb Powell, Chloe Kim, and home town hero, Jamie Anderson. 

Zaria is serious about her progression and works hard to continue pushing her own boundaries! 

Being a South Shore local she has ridden for the Sierra at Tahoe Team, and is currently on the Northstar team! 

Simone is a backcountry big mountain ripper, who has more peaks under her belt than most adults! At just 13, Simone is a serious athlete and you can find her at Kirkwood and Palisades if she isn't off traveling to her next event!

In 2023 Simone placed 1st in multiple events, such as Rally for Rocker, Kirkwood banked slalom, Sugar Bowl free ride 12-14, Palisades/Alpine freeride 12-14 and Crystal Mountain freeride 12-14! Did we mention she is 3rd in the NATION for girls freeride 12-14! Taking notes from her favorite rider Elena Hight, no wonder she is crushing it!

When Simone isn't on the mountain she is surfing the coast with her family or taking it easy and reading her favorite books!

We are excited to bring Simone onto the Village team this year and are excited to see what she accomplishes this season!

Keegan is a 13 year old North Shore Native who's been on a board since 4 years old!

New to competing, Keegan earned 3rd in boardercross last year and that's only the beginning!

Influenced by snowboarder Dusty Henriksen with some style from favorite skaters Kader Sylla and Jake Wooten, Keegan is sure to take podium more than once this year

Passionate to progress Keegan is currently riding for the Northstar team, but if you can't find him at Northstar or Palisades he just might be out skating with friends or jamming out to his favorite tunes. 

As a new member of the team we are stoked to see what Keegan achieves this season!

New to the team but not new to the scene, Dustin has been in the industry since he was born! When he's not ripping dirt bikes or hanging out on the family farm you can find Dustin at Sierra at Tahoe riding for the D Team! 

Dustin is still learning some new tricks but he'll be out competing before you know it!

We can't wait to see Dustin's progression this year!
